Thousands of people took to the streets across the country today, participating in a nationwide protest demanding government reform, social justice, and economic equality. The protests, organized by a coalition of activist groups, community organizations, and residents, aimed to draw attention to pressing issues such as bad governance, income inequality, insecurity, high cost of living, and access to affordable healthcare, among others. In major states like Lagos, Ibadan, Kaduna, and the FCT, protesters marched through the streets, chanting slogans and holding signs that read “End bad governance” and “We want a living wage.” Similar scenes played out in smaller towns and rural areas, where residents rallied in local parks and town squares.

As the protests continue, organizers have vowed to persist in their fight for change, with plans for future demonstrations and advocacy campaigns for a brighter future for the upcoming generation. Meanwhile, the government has yet to respond to the protesters’ demands, but one thing is clear: the voices of the people will not be silenced.
