Air Chief Orders Intensified Air Strikes Against Terrorists Nationwide

The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, has ordered air component commanders across Nigeria’s military theatres to intensify precision air strikes against terrorists and criminal networks threatening national stability.

Aneke gave the directive during a high-level strategic session with operational commanders at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Headquarters in Abuja. The meeting focused on enhancing the tempo of ongoing air operations through smarter, faster, and more decisive engagement with insurgent and criminal elements.

In a statement released by the Air Force, the engagement was described as a major step in strengthening NAF’s operational strategy and boosting collaboration with other security agencies to improve overall national security outcomes.

Addressing the commanders, Aneke stressed the need for agility, precision, and intelligence-driven warfare in tackling emerging threats across different operational zones. He urged them to remain relentless, saying every mission must embody professionalism, purpose, and patriotism.

“We must fly smarter and strike harder. Every operation must deliver accuracy and impact while upholding the highest standards of discipline,” he said.

The Air Chief highlighted the importance of synchronised operations between the air, land, and maritime components to ensure cohesive and successful missions. He reaffirmed NAF’s commitment to maintaining strong coordination with sister services and other security agencies in the fight against terrorism.

Reassuring personnel of his dedication to welfare, innovation, and advanced training, Aneke pledged continuous investment in equipment and capacity development. “The safety and confidence of our citizens remain our true measure of success. Nigeria is counting on us, and we will not fail,” he stated.
