Woman Found Dead In Ore Hotel As Police Launch Investigation

Authorities in Ondo State are probing a troubling incident after a woman was discovered dead inside a hotel room in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area. The woman, who has not yet been identified, was found lifeless on Wednesday shortly after lodging in the facility with a male companion who later vanished.

Staff of the hotel located along the Ore Okitipupa Road explained that the pair arrived together earlier in the day. According to one worker who spoke under anonymity due to the sensitivity of the case, the discovery was made when a staff member entered the room and found the woman motionless on the bed while the man was nowhere in sight.

The worker said the situation immediately raised alarm, prompting the hotel team to notify authorities in Ore. The staff also noted that there were no visible injuries or signs of physical confrontation observed in the room at the time the body was found.

Speaking on Thursday, the Police Public Relations Officer for Ondo State, Olayinka Ayanlade, confirmed the case and stated that detectives have begun efforts to locate the fleeing suspect. He added that the command is committed to uncovering the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death and ensuring that the individual who escaped custody is apprehended.

The deceased has since been moved to a hospital morgue in the community as investigations continue.
