Passing of Nollywood Legend Olu Jacobs

Legendary Nollywood actor Oludotun Baiyewu Jacobs (MFR), popularly known as Olu Jacobs, passed away at the age of 84. His death was officially confirmed by his family in a joint announcement shared by his son, Olusoji Jacobs, and wife, veteran actress Joke Silva. Tributes have poured in across Africa to celebrate his iconic legacy and massive contributions to theatre, television, and film.

Tributes highlight his decades of work alongside his wife with the Lufodo Group, which helped train and empower multiple generations of creative talent.
