Bwala: Peter Obi Unlikely to Secure Party Ticket or Vice-Presidential Slot in 2027

Bwala: Peter Obi Unlikely to Secure Party Ticket or Vice-Presidential Slot in 2027

Speaking on Wednesday during an interview on Channels Television, Bwala also suggested that the former Anambra State governor’s chances of securing a vice-presidential slot appear slim.

According to him, Obi’s 2023 voter base has diminished significantly.
“Peter Obi is not going to get a ticket in any of the parties. The way things are going, he might not even get the vice-presidential ticket” Bwala said. “He has lost 50 percent of his 2023 votes because they were not built on agenda or structured politics but on rhetoric and division. Now, Nigerians’ eyes are open”.

Bwala further boasted that President Bola Tinubu would garner as many as two million votes in the South-East region in the 2027 polls.

His remarks come weeks after Obi, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and other opposition figures declared support for the ADC in July 2025 as the platform for a coalition aimed at unseating Tinubu.
