BBNaija’s Pere Speaks Out After Losing Friend to Cyberbullying

Actor Pere shared an emotional message online, revealing how cyberbullying led to the death of a close friend.

Reality TV star and actor, Pere Egbi, has shared the heartbreaking news of a close friend’s death, which he says was caused by cyberbullying.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday, Pere revealed that his friend sadly took their own life after being bullied online.

“I lost a friend today due to online bullying. Committed suicide. Smh. RIP champ. It is well,” he wrote.

Although Pere didn’t say whether the incident happened in Nigeria or the U.S., where he currently lives, his message has left fans and followers emotional, with many calling for an end to online hate.

Just recently, Pere was in the news for stirring debate after he said that the South African film industry is ahead of Nollywood when it comes to storytelling, production quality, and work ethics.

He mentioned that Nigeria’s film industry still has a lot to learn from South Africa’s.

Pere has built a solid acting career for himself over the years, appearing in both Nollywood and international films like Gem of the Rain Forest, Pound of Flesh, and Blood Vessel.
