VDM Breaks Silence on Phyna’s Dangote Drama: “You Used Me, Now They Are Playing You”

The ongoing issue between Phyna and Dangote’s representatives takes a new turn as VDM publicly shares his involvement and concerns surrounding the matter. He further warned that any harm to Phyna’s sister could lead to a suspension of Dangote’s operations in Edo state.

Nigerian social media was recently stirred when VDM, whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse, responded to Phyna’s emotional video about her sister Ruth’s accident involving a Dangote truck.

Phyna had gone live explaining her meetings with Dangote’s representatives after Ruth’s leg was amputated following a reckless truck driver’s crash. While Phyna shared that Dangote’s team initially agreed on a plan and moved Ruth to Lagoon Hospital in Lagos, VDM revealed a different side of the story, suggesting karma was at play.

VDM explained that Phyna contacted him while he was in Lagos, and he invited her to meet with him and some Dangote officials. A formal meeting involving VDM, Phyna, and a lawyer was scheduled, but Phyna later pulled out, saying she attended the meeting with her lawyer instead because Dangote’s representatives were “scared of VDM.” When the Dangote team went silent for over 24 hours and delayed decisions about Ruth’s treatment, Phyna grew frustrated and suspected foul play, which she openly expressed in a viral video. VDM accused her of using him and warned her to be cautious.

In a strong message to both Phyna and Dangote, VDM said:
“Phyna even though I have forgiven you I just hope you have learnt that this life you should be careful who you use, you used me and now they are playing you…..I forgive you and I still love you genuinely and I hope your sister is taken care of.”

He also warned that if anything happened to Ruth, all Dangote operations in Edo state would be stopped. This comes after VDM previously criticized billionaire Aliko Dangote following multiple fatal accidents involving Dangote trucks in Edo. The saga between Phyna, her sister, and Dangote’s team continues to unfold, with many watching closely.
