Kano Police Arraign 333 Suspected Political Thugs Over By-Election Violence

According to him, the suspects, who were armed with cutlasses, pump-action rifles, locally made pistols, and other weapons, attempted to disrupt the voting process but were intercepted by joint security operatives. He explained that they were charged with offences including disorderly conduct, possession of offensive weapons, intimidation, as well as the snatching and destruction of election materials.

Bakori further disclosed that items recovered from the suspects included dangerous weapons, cash amounting to N4,048,000, and other incriminating materials. The suspects have since been arraigned before Magistrate Courts in Nomansland and Gyadi-Gyadi areas of Kano for prosecution.
