Police Recover Missing Mbadiwe Sibling, Reunite Him with Family

Swift police action and public cooperation have led to the safe recovery of Odera Gregory Mbadiwe, brother of reality TV stars Ocee and Ozee Mbadiwe, who was declared missing earlier this week.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Deputy Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Police Command, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, confirmed that Odera, who left his Victoria Island residence on September 1 in his father’s Nissan 350Z Convertible and failed to return, was traced to the Mile 2 area of Lagos State.

According to Oluseyi, the case was officially reported at the Victoria Island Police Division on September 3, 2025, prompting the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, to order a “discreet and diligent investigation.” Acting on credible intelligence and tips from concerned members of the public, operatives located Odera, who was found hale and hearty though in distress. He has since been reunited with his family and placed under medical care. The vehicle was also successfully recovered.

Commending the outcome, CP Jimoh praised both his officers and members of the public for their cooperation, noting that their swift response was instrumental in securing the positive result. He also reassured residents of the Command’s continued commitment to public safety and urged Lagosians to promptly report such cases for immediate intervention.
