Aiyedatiwa Administration Reaffirms Commitment To Grassroots Growth In Ose LGA

Ajanaku gave the assurance in Akure on Wednesday while receiving members of the Ose Students’ Association of Nigeria during a courtesy visit to the ministry. He praised the delegation for their sincerity, courage and consistent advocacy for the progress of Ose.

The commissioner acknowledged that infrastructural challenges in the region have been a key priority since he assumed office. He restated that Governor Aiyedatiwa is focused on ensuring even development across all local government areas.

Providing updates, Ajanaku revealed that the Ikun Afo Road project has undergone an upward review to improve the quality of work expected from contractors. He also confirmed that the Afo Idoani Road has been captured in the 2026 budget, which he described as a further indication of the administration’s renewed attention to the zone.

He added that the state government has set up a committee to identify urgent developmental needs in Irekari to ensure swift intervention. He emphasised that sustained progress can only be achieved through collaboration, urging youth groups and stakeholders to join hands in advancing the growth of Ose.

Ajanaku committed financial and moral support to the association’s planned Education Summit and Spelling Bee, describing the programme as timely and essential for boosting educational development in the Irekari axis.

Earlier, the association’s president, Ajibua Emmanuel, commended the commissioner for his accessibility and dedication to grassroots improvement. He said the upcoming Education Summit and Spelling Bee for secondary schools in Ose would require partnership from the ministry.

The Senate President of the association, Obasanya Monday, also praised Ajanaku for the transformation of the state’s media and information system, noting that government communication has become clearer and more engaging. Other members pledged readiness to support the commissioner in amplifying the achievements of the current administration.
