FCT Police Deny Report of Officer Being Trailed by Unidentified Vehicles in Kubwa

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has responded to reports that Lieutenant AM Yarima was trailed by unknown individuals in two unmarked Hilux vans in Kubwa on Sunday evening. According to initial military sources the vehicles allegedly followed the officer from the NIPCO Station near the Kubwa Motorway through Gado Nasco Road before he carried out tactical escape moves to evade them.

Reacting to the widespread claims the Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh said the command has no record or report of any attempted attack on Lieutenant Ahmed Yerima. She stressed that the story circulating on social media is false and should not be taken as fact.

In her statement Adeh noted that no incident matching the description occurred anywhere within the Federal Capital Territory. She urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information that could cause fear or disrupt public peace.

She encouraged residents to stay alert and immediately report suspicious behaviour to the closest police division to support ongoing security efforts across the FCT.
