APC Post-Primary Reconciliation & 2027 Mobilization

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has led a major meeting of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) and top All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders at the Government House in Akure.  

 The Goal: The meeting was focused on healing internal rifts and unifying competing factions that lingered after the party’s recent primaries.  

 The Outcome: The state’s party leaders officially affirmed Aiyedatiwa as the unified leader of the APC in Ondo. They also laid out a grassroots roadmap intended to maximize support ahead of the 2027 presidential election, aiming to surpass Ondo’s high-percentage performance for President Tinubu in the previous election cycle.
