Nigerian rapper 2Shotz has spoken out about how an old allegation by actress Beverly Osu deeply affected his life. He says the claim, which he insists was false, ruined his career, damaged his marriage, and pushed him into a dark place emotionally.

Veteran Nigerian rapper William Orioha, better known as 2Shotz, has opened up about a difficult chapter in his life, recounting how an accusation from actress Beverly Osu derailed both his career and marriage.

In a candid conversation on The Teju Babyface Show, the rapper detailed how a personal misunderstanding escalated into a public controversy that left lasting damage on his reputation and mental health.

2Shotz revealed that Beverly Osu, who once featured in one of his music videos, used to be a regular visitor to his home. However, their relationship turned sour, and during a tense exchange, he claims that his hand unintentionally brushed her face. According to him, Beverly interpreted the incident as an act of violence and made a public allegation of assault.

The aftermath, he said, was devastating. The rapper described how the accusation quickly gained traction, leading to widespread condemnation, canceled endorsement deals, and a rapid decline in public support.

“I was painted as something I’m not,” he said. “I wasn’t getting shows or deals anymore. I lost my house. My marriage fell apart. I even came close to ending my life—I walked into water and had to be pulled out.”

2Shotz described the period as one of the darkest in his life, emphasizing that the incident was misunderstood and asserting that he is not a violent person. He also shared how the experience left emotional scars that took years to begin healing.
