Ebenezer Obey Refutes Death Rumour, Declares He Is Alive

Legendary singer Ebenezer Obey has broken his silence after rumours of his death surfaced online, noting that he is alive and healthy, dismissing the reports as lies.

Music legend Ebenezer Obey has denied viral rumours claiming he had died after suffering a stroke.

Describing the reports as “lies from the kingdom of darkness,” the veteran musician posted a video on Instagram alongside his two sons to debunk the claims.

He captioned it: “Stop the rumours!!!! Ebenezer Obey is alive and well.”

Obey clarified that he had only travelled to London for personal care and condemned the fake news, which even included photos of coffins.

Reaffirming his faith, he said:
“Everything they have said is nothing but lies that came from the kingdom of darkness. I am alive, I am alive, says the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much. I don’t have a stroke. I came to London to look after myself.”

This is not the first time such rumours have circulated—similar false claims appeared in 2020 and earlier this year.
