Davido’s Cousin B-Red Escapes Suspected Attack in Osogbo

Nigerian singer B-Red has reportedly escaped what the Osun State Government has described as an assassination attempt in Osogbo.

The incident is said to have happened on Wednesday afternoon around Oke Fia, close to the Government House. This was made known by the Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi, in a statement released on April 30, 2026.

According to the statement, some hoodlums believed to be led by a man identified as Asiri Eniba tried to attack the singer while he was driving through the area.

B Red, who is also a cousin of Davido and the son of Ademola Adeleke, shared his experience. He explained that the situation began when he was returning from Alekuwodo Market after stepping out to buy a few items.

He said he suddenly noticed several commercial motorcyclists wearing AMBO caps trying to surround his car at a traffic point under the Oke Fia Bridge.

According to him, things became more serious when a white Toyota Venza approached his vehicle and someone inside shouted that it was him. This appeared to signal others to go after him.

B Red said as he tried to leave the area, the vehicle and the motorcycles started chasing him. They kept trying to block his path and stop his movement as he drove through the streets.

He added that the chase continued until he managed to drive into the Osun State Government House in Oke Fia, where he finally found safety.

During the incident, he claimed he was able to recognize one of the people inside the Toyota Venza as Asiri Eniba, whom he described as a known political thug.

The Osun State Government has confirmed that the matter has been reported to the police. It described the situation as a serious security threat and called on security agencies to quickly arrest and prosecute those involved.

The government also stressed that the incident should not be taken lightly, given the danger it posed.
