Two Months After Resignation, Ganduje Quashes Speculation of Dumping APC for ADC

Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has denied reports suggesting he is preparing to defect to the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The former Kano State governor dismissed the speculation as “fake news” insisting that he remains firmly committed to the APC and President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Ganduje, who resigned as APC National Chairman on June 27 citing health reasons, had assumed the role less than a year earlier on August 3, 2023, during an emergency meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee. Barely two months after his resignation, reports began circulating that he and his supporters were planning to switch allegiance to the ADC.

By his spokesman’s account, Ganduje remains aligned with the APC’s leadership and is not entertaining any thoughts of defection.
