Presidency & Federal Government Actions

Media Protection & Tech Investigation: President Tinubu has officially directed the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) to launch a full investigation into major global technology companies (including Meta, X, and Google/Alphabet) and generative AI platforms. The probe targets anti-competitive practices and the unauthorized exploitation of proprietary content from Nigerian legacy media houses.

N1.3 Billion “Ghost Agency” Scandal: The political space is reacting to the arrest of the father of Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-proclaimed DG of the fraudulent “Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council.” The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation (OAGF) has officially disowned the group, denying that a CBN account was ever validly cleared for the fraudulent ₦1.3 billion operation.

Judiciary Infrastructure Drive: President Tinubu reaffirmed that the executive arm will assume full constitutional responsibility for modernizing the country’s legal infrastructure, stating a world-class legal system is required to sustain democratic reforms.
