Governor Aiyedatiwa Launches Official “Ondo State for Tinubu 2027” Campaign Platform

Governor Aiyedatiwa Launches Official “Ondo State for Tinubu 2027” Campaign Platform

The announcement was made during a strategic meeting with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) held Friday at the Government House in Akure.

Speaking on the initiative, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku, described it as both a reaffirmation of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s constitutional role as APC leader in the state and a strategic move to coordinate all pro-Tinubu activities through a unified and disciplined structure.

“In line with the APC constitution, the sitting governor is the leader of the party in the state. As such, Governor Aiyedatiwa holds the legitimate authority to organise and harmonise all campaign efforts in alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Ajanaku stated.

He emphasised that the governor’s long-standing alliance with President Tinubu dating back to 2012 positions him to effectively lead a centralised support structure for the 2027 campaign.

“This is more than an expression of loyalty; it is a proactive effort to prevent factionalism and strengthen party cohesion,” he added.

While acknowledging the passion of various support groups across the state, Ajanaku announced that all such groups must now operate under the “Ondo State for Tinubu 2027” platform and within the governor’s leadership framework.

“His Excellency values every supporter’s commitment, but going forward, all campaign activities must align with the official structure,” he said.

He warned against the formation of parallel or unauthorised campaign bodies, stressing that such actions could sow disunity within the party. Ajanaku called on all party members and Tinubu supporters to prioritise discipline, unity, and adherence to the APC constitution as preparations for the 2027 general election gather pace.
