ADC Faction Vows to Restore Party’s Integrity, Warns Against Political Infiltration

The Hon. Nafiu Bala-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reaffirmed its commitment to rebuilding the party’s integrity and restoring its lost glory.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, Bala accused some politicians of infiltrating the ADC, stressing that such individuals have no legitimate standing in the party. He described their actions as disruptive and detrimental to the peaceful structure the ADC once maintained.

Bala expressed concern that the infiltrators are parading themselves as party leaders despite not fulfilling the required procedures for joining a political organisation.

He said their conduct has introduced negative tendencies that have unsettled the party’s unity, undermining the expectations of Nigerians who look to the ADC to play a strong opposition role ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We are working tirelessly to restore the glory of the party that was infiltrated by political opportunists who sneaked in through the back door” Bala stated.

He further alleged that the individuals were creating confusion among genuine members and attempting to impose an unrecognised leadership structure.

“We want to make it clear that those parading themselves as members of the ADC without proper registration should immediately desist from interfering with the party’s peaceful structure” Bala added.

He urged anyone interested in joining the party to adhere strictly to the ADC’s constitution and procedures, beginning with proper registration at the ward level.

Bala reaffirmed that the party remains focused on its internal reorganisation and on strengthening its position as a credible opposition platform in Nigeria’s political landscape.
