Security & Diplomacy: Nigeria and U.S. Hold Fresh High-Level Talks

Bilateral Defense Strategy: Senior Nigerian officials—including National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, and Minister of Defence Christopher Musa—are holding high-level security and counterterrorism talks with U.S. representatives in Washington, D.C.  

 Fiscal Transparency Report: The meetings follow the release of the U.S. Department of State’s 2026 Fiscal Transparency Report, which flagged that while Nigeria publishes several key fiscal documents, its executive branch budget details still lack sufficient breakdown regarding overall government revenues and detailed expenditure.
