BBNaija star Uriel Oputa has weighed in on the debate surrounding Toke Makinwa’s pregnancy after social commentator Solomon Buchi shared his opinion on the subject.

Buchi had earlier posted a video on social media where he congratulated Toke but criticised her for linking her pregnancy to God. He argued that her decision did not align with biblical teachings, which uphold marriage as the foundation before childbirth.

While he acknowledged Toke’s wish to become a mother, he questioned the celebration of pregnancy outside wedlock, describing it as something a “Jesus girl” should not endorse.

In response, Uriel took to Instagram to defend Toke, insisting that Buchi had no right to judge her. She argued that he could not know the personal struggles or circumstances that led to her decision to have a child. Uriel also wondered why a man would feel entitled to comment so strongly on matters that specifically concern women and their experiences.
